Modern Times Ensemble. is a Net Carbon Zero production.
Music unites. Sound waves move through air. Music is made of sounds which require air to propagate in order to reach us.
Our planet is suffocating, the catastrophic effects of Co2 emissions are by now evident even to the most skeptic. It is time to act take responsibility. This is why we decided to make Modern Times Ensemble. a Net Carbon Zero production.
All recording sessions have been performed locally by the artists in their respective home studios around the world, without need of additional mobility therefore avoiding Co2 emissions caused by air and land travels.
Carbon emissions from other activities related to the production of this music such as electricity, heating and cooling, transportation and shipping is being offset as well through carbon credits.
Modern Times Ensemble is committed to developing and support new technologies and digital platforms to enhance and foster human-to-human musical collaborations within a safe, artistically rewarding and sustainable production process. All of this still by keeping the artists, the music and the planet at the core of it all.
All net earnings from the music, including upcoming CD sales, streaming, mechanical reproduction and licensing royalties will go towards Mangrove Donations to the Malizia Mangrove Park project.
"Boris Herrmann, the most famous sailor in Germany, just successfully finished the toughest single-handed regatta in the world, the Vendèe Globe Race. Together with the Mama Earth Foundation, he and his team have created the Malizia Mangrove Park in the Philippines / Mati, Davao Oriental. There, through donations, one million mangroves are planted to the already existing ones. The park thus makes an enormously important contribution to the restoration of the ecosystem, provides a better income for the residents and the mangroves bind high amounts of the climate-damaging CO2."
